Dear Friends,
I would like to share something with you that recently happened to me and my husband. We were robbed during the night as we peacefully slept in our home. We didn’t awake until we heard the phone ringing and a caller with a strange message informed us that our credit cards and driver licenses were found on the other side of town.
At first we thought it was a crank call, but when we looked for our wallets and purse, they were indeed gone, as was Pastor’s laptop computer and Palm Pilot. Then, we looked out the back door and saw the screen had been cut. A cold chill went right through us as we realized what had happened to us.
We gave thanks to God that the robbers did not try to harm us. We knew that God had sent His angels to protect us when we definitely could not defend ourselves. We have been robbed three times in life and this was the most unsettling because we were asleep in the house when it happened. Someone else that same week had been robbed while at home and they were killed. Our robber had a knife, too, because he (they) slashed open the screen. We could have suffered the same fate!
It was not our time. God sent us here to build Lamb of God Church and the devil didn’t like it. However, when God builds the church, nothing can defeat it. We must put all our trust and faith in His purpose for our lives and keep going. Blessed be the name of the Lord! Amen
