LA VALENTIA
Esforzaos todos vosotros los que esperáis en Jehová, y tome aliento vuestro corazón.
Salmo 31:24
No soy por naturaleza una mujer valiente, Señor. Las autopistas me ponen nerviosa, pero me llevan más rápido a mi destino que las carreteras secundarías. Temo ir la dentista, aunque ella nunca me ha hecho sufrir. Levando a mi nieto pequeño cuando un gran perro se le acerca, aun cuando el perro le mueve la cola feliz. “Te preocupas demasiado” me dicen mis hijos, y tienen razón. Nada de esto es Tu culpa, Señor. Ni siquiera creo que sea mi culpa. Simplemente es la manera como soy. Dame la valentía que necesito para controlar mis temores, Señor. Sé que me amas y que cuidas de aquellos a quienes amo mucho mejor de lo que yo podría hacerlo. Fortalece mi corazón.

I am not by nature a brave woman, Lord. The highways make me nervous, but they get me to my destination much faster than the side streets. I’m afraid of going to the dentist, although they have never made me suffer. I lifted my little grandson when a big dog came close to him, though the dog was wagging his tail.
“You worry too much” my children tell me and they are right. None of this is your fault, Lord. Neither is it my fault. It is simply the way I am. Give me the courage that I need to control my fears, Lord. I know that you love me and that you care about those whom I love a whole lot more than I ever could. Strengthen my heart
